15 Artists of Clayton Visual arts
January’s art exhibit at the Clayton Center, the first of 2012, will display the works of 15 members of Clayton Visual Arts.
The artists are Ramona Cash, Dorothy Demboski, Frank Dziepak, John W. Farr IV, Carolyn Howard, John McFadden, Toni Murgas, Missy Naum, Kathleen Nobles, Gail O’Neil, Heidi Lee Peach, Janie Prete, Don Stephenson, Linda Strevig and Jo Tucker.
Prete is president of Clayton Visual Arts and winner of the 2011 Poster Contest.
Strevig is treasurer of the group.
Demboski is past president and creator of “Clayton Patchwork,” a 10-foot circular mural in the Clayton Center.
Cash and Howard are two of the group’s founders.
Dziepak, Peach, and Prete are recent winners in the annual Art Faire competition held September.
The 15 artists’ work will hang in the Clayton Center Jan. 2-31. The exhibit and the Jan. 5 reception, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., are free, and everyone is invited. It will honor Clayton Visual Arts exhibitors, as well as competitors in the annual Student Arts Festival sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Clayton.
Light refreshments—cookies, fruit, cheese, nuts, punch—will be served.
The Clayton Center is open from 9 to 5 Monday-Friday.
Clayton Visual Arts, Inc., is a nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organization and is funded in part by a grant from the Town of Clayton’s Cultural Arts Fund. It also receives funds from the Woman’s Club.
