A Letter From The President

Elections for CVA Board of Directors is coming up in June!

Looking ahead to our monthly meeting on June 3rd, CVA members will be electing two new Board Members. The term for Board Members is three years. Our Directors are the ones who decide how to spend CVA’s funds, determining how best to guide the organization as it works to support Clayton’s artist community. If you have interest in running for election, please drop an email to

Terms for CVA officers are two years, unless a 2/3 majority of the Board agree to extend service for an additional year. This year, all of our current officers will have met their requirement of at least two years, making the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer available. After the two new Board members have been elected, they will decide who among them will take on the roles as officers.

Remaining Board of Directors members are Deborah Coates, Jill Hunt, Michael Morrison, Janie Prete, Krissy Crittenden, Vicky Toth, and Jim Hopkins. Long-time treasurer Kathy Nobles and myself are stepping down. I look forward to continuing in my service to CVA from behind the scenes. There is much still to be done. And there is still the feeling that greater things are on the horizon for Clayton Visual Arts and Downtown Clayton.
