Works of Art
Phyllis Harvey is a 16-year resident of Clayton. Having lived and traveled throughout the US and the Caribbean, there is nowhere else that she and her family would rather be than in Johnston County.
Phyllis and her husband have one son, a Captain in the United States Army. Their church home is First Baptist Church Clayton. Faith, family and friends are the anchors of her life.
A relative newcomer to the local Arts community, Phyllis is always exploring new techniques and styles. She is eager to learn from her fellow artists, and to share her talent with others.
“I paint for the joy and release of it! It’s a way that I can express who I am, and what I am feeling on a given day. Movement, light, and joy are all elements that I strive for in my paintings.
